World Map Displaying Alumni at the 10th World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi
Client:UN-Habitat, Nairobi

Immerse yourself in a grand world map, inspired of traditional maps highlighting flight routes. Stand within this expansive creation that not only captivates with its size but also serves as a unique interactive experience. Rising from the map are 3D structures representing each of the 10 countries that have been hosts to a World Urban Forum the last 10 times.
Connected to each host country, a cord extends outward, leading to a dedicated ‘block’ that unfolds more about the respective event. These blocks are not merely informational but also interactive hubs, featuring engaging videos and opportunities for hands-on participation. Visitors can explore the rich history and impact of each WUF through multimedia presentations, gaining deeper insights into the global discussions and initiatives surrounding urban development.
The 3D structures themselves are designed not just for visual appeal, but as multifunctional elements within the exhibition. They double as comfortable benches, inviting visitors to sit and relax, fostering a sense of connection and reflection. Moreover, these structures can transform into podiums for speeches or platforms for the display of impactful images, creating dynamic spaces within the exhibition.
